It has skin restructuring and moisturising properties, and makes a superb nail strengthener…Camellia should be used by any aromatherapist specializing in facial treatments and anti-scarring treatments.”
White Camellia oil was traditionally used by geishas to keep their skin flawless and their hair lustrous and healthy. This Camellia oil is a precious cold-pressed certified organic oil containing exceptionally high levels of antioxidants to prevent free radical formation; soothing properties to help calm sensitive skin; nutrients to nourish devitalized skin; and emollients to create a healthy dew-like complexion. White Camellia oil is also one of the rare ingredients that is wonderful for all skin types, but it especially shines when used for oily, combination, and acne prone skin.
Our Sadie has been using it to treat her dry eczema, and is amazed at the results she is seeing. She also wants to make a lip balm based on it, because it seems to be making the fine lines around her lips disappear.
White Camellia Oil has been recommended to help prevent stretch marks. Blended with Rose Hip Seed Oil, White Camellia Oil is said to be able to fade recent stretch marks, while they are still red or pink in color. (I know of nothing that will fade them once they turn silver, unfortunately.)
Susan Parker, author of the Power of the Seed, says that White Camelia oil is an astringent oil and so not ideal for very dry or mature skin, but that same astringency is perfect for balancing out oily skin.
Camellia Oil Uses
FACE & EYE MOISTURIZER: after cleansing apply a few drops to your face and gently massage in, using upward circles. Pat a drop around the eye area with your ring finger.
HAIR TREATMENT: Massage into scalp and thoroughly work into hair down to the very ends. Wrap head in a warm towel for 30 minutes to intensify the effect. Shampoo well. OR, gently smooth dry hair with just a tiny drop of the Camellia oil on your palms to tame “fly aways and frizzies.”
AFTER BATH BODY OIL: Apply after towel drying, paying extra attention to elbows, knees, etc.
FOR BABY CARE: An ideal baby massage oil.
LIP BALM: Use in a “ roller ball bottle ” to keep lips moist and healthy, and help remove fine lines that will cause lipstick to feather.
SKIN CLEANSING: Camellia Oil is a wonderful cleanser for all skin types. It softens and moisturizes, while removing makeup and impurities from deep in the pores. The acid balance of your skin will not be disturbed, and a soft barrier of Camellia will be left to protect and moisturize. My friend Liz suggests moistening a cotton pad with filtered or spring water, adding a bit of the Camellia Oil, and gently dabbing onto forehead, nose, cheeks, chin and neck. Gently wipe in circular motion. Discard the cotton pad, and repeat if necessary. (I like to finish with a final wipe with a cotton pad moistened with today’s favorite hydrosol.) An alternative method, that I find quicker and easier: massage the Camellia directly to face, then wipe excess with dry cotton pads and a final wipe with a moistened washcloth.
EYELIDS: Camellia Oil is the perfect eye make up remover—simply moisten a cotton ball with filtered water, add Camellia oil and wipe the lids and lash line gently. (I like to do this in the morning to gently remove “sleepy sands.”)

I received the 1 oz of white camellia oil and loved it, as its properties seem to go with my particular skin. I found the remnants of the bottle awhile back, and began using it again, as in the interim I was using another homemade concoction that worked well. When I went online to Nature’s Gift, lo and behold, there was no white camellia oil to be found. I emailed to inquire and found out they were waiting to hear from the supplier. I just checked today, and it was again available! I find it highly absorbent, non-greasy, and my skin does not dry out, although I just read that it has astringent qualities. Mahalo, and I hope you can keep the white camellia oil consistently available.

I ordered the 1 oz. bottle of white camellia oil to use for my scalp and decided to try it in my face serum. I added a drop to my regular face serum and smoothed it on my face, and oh my, this just soaked right into my skin and was not greasy at all. My skin feels so soft and not greasy. I have combo skin and have been using it 2x/day with no issues. I will be buying more when I run out.
