(Christi didn’t think I should send this email, but I reminded her that a lot of our old friends are not on Facebook, and would not forgive me if we did not allow them a chance to say goodbye.)
Some of you already know that Christi will be leaving us this week, after fourteen years at Nature’s Gift, to take an extended medical leave of absence.
Many have sent well wishes for a speedy recovery. Unfortunately, she’s been battling a chronic autoimmune disease for years and the likelihood is that her condition will not improve. A year ago her medical team wanted her to stop working, but she battled on.
Thankfully, we have both short term and long term disability insurance in place to cover her. It’s been hard watching her condition deteriorate, and I cannot imagine the emotional toll it is taking on her.
Please join us in wishing her all the best as she starts this new phase of her journey.
It is time she started taking care of herself, instead of all of us.
