When one of our suppliers sent me some samples of creams, lotions, cleansers, etc., of course I had to play! Some were delightful, some were not for me. One I fell in love with. A rich, gentle, botanical-based wash-off cream cleanser that just made my skin feel silky-smooth and glow!

The formulator makes all sorts of wonderful claims about its power to restore and rejuvenate youthful skin. I don’t. I just like the way it makes my face feel.

About six weeks later I was at a lunch meeting with a group of women who have known me for years. One of them is a consultant for a well known makeup company, so she is very aware of skin care and appearance. She started raving about how wonderful my skin looked. The only difference was the cleanser I had been using. So, I shared the sample with our staff. And we started to play.

We have lavished the basic cleanser with the anti-aging essential oils of our Cleopatra’s Secret products. For more information, as well as a complete list of ingredients, read below. Ideal for those of you who find even the gentlest goat’s milk soaps a bit drying for facial use.

Description: A rich gentle cleanser designed for all skin types, but especially pampering and nourishing for dry or mature skin. Our Creme Cleanser will gently remove surface impurities such as makeup, excess oil, bacteria, and pollutants, while lovingly exfoliating to remove dead surface cells without disturbing the delicate moisture and oil balance that is key to healthy, glowing skin.

Usage: Use daily to restore balance to dry, aged, or sun damaged skin, normal to oily, and teenage skin. The originator states that the emollient cleanser may also be used as a mask, which allows its skin nurturing ingredients to penetrate and work even longer to exfoliate, repair and thoroughly clean the skin, preparing it for the next step in your beauty ritual—toning with a hydrosol and/or moisturizing with a light serum, carrier oil, or cream. First, splash your face with lukewarm or tepid water. Massage the Creme Cleanser into your face and neck using gentle upward strokes. You may stimulate circulation and relax muscles by applying pressure to areas prone to develop smile or frown lines, around the mouth, upper cheeks and forehead. Remove either by rinsing with warm water or with a warm washcloth. Personally I use the cleanser as described above at bedtime, and refresh my face in the morning with a cotton ball moistened with our Cleopatra’s Secret Toner. If my skin should feel the least bit dry or tight, I will add just a drop of Cleopatra’s Secret Skin Serum while my skin is still moist from the hydrosol. Instant face cream!

Now, of course, since we have added Cleopatra’s Secret Radiance to our offerings, I may substitute the Radiance Creme for the Serum upon occasion.
