Bulgarian Lavender is normally one of our lowest price lavenders, however both 2017 and more seriously 2018 saw dreadful weather immediately preceeding the harvest. This year, 2018, saw the harvest decimated by heavy rains. Our producer says that production was far lower than in any previous year, with concurrent higher prices. The limited harvest, however, has yielded a magnificant oil.

If you are looking for a Lavender Essential Oil for relaxing in the tub, or diffusing for soothing, relaxation, or wooing sleep, this is a good one for you. I’ve been mixing it with our Rose Geranium and quite honestly can’t get enough of the blend. Added to soap or lotions the blend produces a wonderfully soothing “Grandma’s Garden” scent-memory and is part of the secret of our Mille Fleur goats milk soap.

Like all true Lavender oils, our French and Bulgarian, English and Indian Lavenders are anti-bacterial, anti-fungal, and, possibly, anti-viral. Lavender functions as an adaptogen, aiding in restoring the body to balance.

SHELF LIFE: Approximately 2 to 3 years after you open the bottle. Storing in the dark, refrigerated, and decanting half full bottles into smaller, full bottles will extend shelf life.
